Well for this time of year its rainbow trout that are on the menu. Our anglers that are going out are having some success in landing the trout that have been recently planted by the Willow Beach Hatchery. Our local angler Stephanie Principato stopped in to share their fish catch and story. She was using power bait in the Rotary Park area while fishing from shore. This time of year we usually get a low water release. This has been the lowest release I have seen since 2005. Davis dam has 5 gates or 5 generating stations and this time of year the crew there takes 2 off line to do maintenance and repairs. The water release is controlled by the Bureau of Reclamation and I was told because of the weather the demand is low. So this year we are getting 1/2 gate open at various times. The water is low so it looks like you can walk across the river. It’s a great time to check out where all the underwater mountains have been hiding. This also presents an issue for our stocking and I hope they have that worked out soon. I will try and keep you posted where are next stocking will be. Also our city crews are making repairs to our launch ramps at both community park, Rotary Park and the launch ramp by the Sunshine Peninsula. I am thinking its our weather and the holidays that are keeping the fishing slow.

No word form Lake Mohave and little talk about the Marsh. Last I heard was the geese were flying to high for our hunters to catch them. Be sure to share any luck you might have for fishing or hunting by that matter. we hope to see you in soon and thanks for all of your support
