Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Look where we live yep we have trout rainbow trout and a few stripped bass now and again. The great part about all of this is our trout bite here along the shores of The Colorado River below the Davis Dam. I am saying its thanks to the Willow Beach Hatchery we are able to go out for this super opportunity to catch trout. These fish that are meant for us to catch, are nice size rainbows and put up a fair fight. The stocking sites of Community Park and Rotary Park have been allowing our anglers to land their limit of 5 rainbow trout.
Our local angler Gerry Ward stopped in to share his catch he landed using his favorite jig. I have been hearing that night crawlers also were producing limits as well. WE also have a bit of striper news our local anglers Tony smith and Chris Duncan were fishing a way down river near the nature center and landed a nice 13.40 pound striper at 35 inches. They were drifting in their boat using anchovies to bring this fish in. The striper bite has been slow with a few being landed mostly using swim baits. this time of year we do get some of our larger fish passing through.
Not much word from up on Lake Mohave the winds seem to keep most off of the water. The lake can get pretty rough with some large swells that can cap size some of the smaller water craft. The Topock Marsh has been a bit slow for a different reason as the water fowl season is on and parts of the lake are closed and only open for hunters. We hope this helps for now we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch a reminder good weather is on the way we will see you soon mostly thanks for all of your support.
